The first company within the Group, John’s Garage Limited, was incorporated on my father’s retirement on April 22, 1977. Four other companies were later formed to enable the Group to carry out its mission: Sunrays Travel & Tourism Limited in 1983; John’s Auto Care Limited in 1993; Power Plan Limited in 1995; and JF Motors Limited in 1998.

Its taxi and mini-bus service is available around the clock.
As local licensees for First Car Rentals, we provide car hire services to international standards. Work on the branding of the Group is being extended to the subsidiaries and Sunrays Travel, which has been operating for the past 25 years, will launch its new corporate identity in the first quarter of 2009.
In the area of human resources which is key for success in any organisation, we are conducting one- to- one interviews with all the members of staff so that by the end of March, 2009, a training needs assessment would have been completed to drive better working methods. More importantly, however, through this exercise we shall address the needs of the business and will enhance the ability of the eventual transformed work-force to respond to these requirements.
Throughout the past half century, John’s Group and the Farrugia family have become household names. This was the Group’s automotive servicing and repair arm.
The company currently operates a state-of-the-art motor repair service in Qormi offering a one-stop shop. It has acquired, and constantly sources, the latest motor repair technology in terms of both staff and equipment, enabling it to provide an unparalleled service to its numerous clients. In 1995 John’s Group took a strategic decision to start providing services to the local petroleum industry. PowerPlan Ltd is the leading supplier of equipment, systems and services to the industry, providing a turnkey service. This is largely thanks to its first-class customer service and capabilities to respond to client needs.
The third generation of the family has recently been introduced to John’s Group, and is active in several departments,including Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, Chauffeur Drive, Self-Drive, IT and Finance.
